A drug dealer has been jailed for 12 months after being caught red handed.

Geoffrey Nalumoso, 25, of Newton Close, Harrow , pleaded guilty at Harrow Crown Court on Friday last week to possession with intent to supply.

Last month officers on patrol in Station Road spotted two vehicles turning in to Elm Grove Road, and appeared to speed up as the police followed.

Eventually bringing one of the vehicles to a halt, the police offcers were hit by a strong stench of cannabis, and searched the vehicle to contain drugs with a street value of £40,000, arresting Nalumoso who was at the wheel.

Acting Sergeant Tony McGovern of Harrow Police said: “The Wealdstone Proactive Unit and Greenhill Safer Neighbourhoods Team have been working in unison to disrupt drugs supply to central Harrow.

"This crime was solved, not using any intricate tactics, but by good traditional policing and following up on natural suspicions of a persons behaviour and body language.

"Let this be a message to other dealers out there that we will catch you and the consequences, as in this case can be severe.”
