Your article (February 12) about a further drop in racist crime in Hammersmith and Fulham is good news for the borough and we hope this trend will continue - despite the added pressures on the community caused by unemployment in a time of deep recession.
One important contributor to harmonious relationships between different sections of the local community is a fair and balanced local press. The Fulham & Hammersmith Chronicle deserves thanks for continuing to reflect the ethnic diversity of the area and the fundamental contribution to local life that so many individuals and organisations from so many backgrounds continue to make.
