A DRIVER is in a serious condition after crashing his car into a church wall in Northwood Hills yesterday (Sunday).

The man, believed to be in his thirties, was driving towards the high street when he crashed his black Volkswagen Golf into a wall in front of Northwood Hills United Reformed Church in Joel Street at 3.40am.

He was taken to The Royal London Hospital with multiple injuries.

Two male passengers, believed to be in their twenties, were also injured and one was taken to Hillingdon Hospital with head injuries and the other was was treated at the scene.

Joel Street was closed between Norwich Road and Colchester Road and reopened at about 11.30am.
