Police wish to speak to him after two incidents where young girls were approached and asked to engage in sexual activity.
On September 8, 2012 at approximately 2.15pm a man approached two girls in High Road, Cowley, and attempted to incite them to commit a sexual offence.
When they refused the man walked away. The two returned home and informed their parents who reported the incident to police.
A police spokesman said: "We are also aware of a second incident at approximately 5.15pm that day whereby a man by the same description approached a group of children in Rockingham Recreation Ground, Rockingham Road, Uxbridge, and asked them to accompany him to nearby Fassnidge Park. They refused and left the scene.
"We are unaware of any further incidents at this time.
"An investigation is being carried out by officers from the MPS's Sapphire Command. Following the incidents a number of inquiries were conducted with shops in the area and a number of identification leads were pursued with a negative result."
The police would like to speak to a man described as white, aged between 35-45 years, of thin build, with short brown hair featuring a large bald patch on the crown of his head, and wearing a red t-shirt, three-quarter length shorts and carrying a yellow rucksack.
