This is the shocking image police shared following a drug seizure in Westminster.

The picture shows the contents Metropolitan Police officers confiscated from a person on the streets of the capital.

Officers have now issued a warning following the seizure, tweeting people not to bring drugs in the borough of Westminster.

The tweet reads: "Don't bring drugs into MPS Westminster. #WestEndPolice Team A will catch you @HOLBID @SaferWestEnd."

The image shows what looks like a packet of marijuana and some drugs paraphernalia.

And the warning was tweeted in the early hours of Sunday (September 10) morning, at around 1.07am.

The warning comes just a few days after the Metropolitan Police warned the public of the dangers of drugs following the death of a young woman in a London nightclub.

She was believed to have bought and taken a deadly concoction of MDMA and Ketamine and pronounced dead at 11.37am on Monday August 28.
