The distraught owner of a rare vintage Mercedes Benz convertible stolen from Holland Park is asking for help to find it.

The green vintage Mercedes Benz 250SL was stolen from Holland Villas Road, where it was parked, at around 7.20pm on September 4.

Two men were seen breaking into the £60,000 car and driving off along Holland Villas Road then turning right in to Upper Addison Gardens before driving out of sight.

High-value vehicle theft is one of the biggest problems facing Kensington and Chelsea's police force .

The first suspect is described as a white man, about 30-years-old, 5ft 10in, of slim build and wearing a navy blue hooded top and dark blue trousers with white laces on his shoes.

A second suspect is a light skinned black man, about 25-30-years-old wearing a black jacket with a North Face logo on the back right shoulder, with black tracksuit bottoms.

PC Fas Ali, from Kensington and Chelsea police, said: “This is quite a rare vehicle and the victim is very distraught at it being stolen.  The vehicle is easily identifiable and I urge anyone who sees it on the road to contact us and help us unite it with its owner.”

The car’s registration number is KSN 881F.
