A disabled man who had his car stolen from his driveway is offering a reward for its return.

Howard Stapleton, 56, of Uxbridge Road, woke up on Sunday, July 20, to find his car missing from its driveway, where it had been parked the night before.

The car is specially adapted for his use,to make it easier for him to get in and out.

He said: "I feel angry. I don't care who took it, I just want it back. It isn't worth a lot, but it is very precious to me.It is an adapted car,I can't go out and buy one of those."

The car is a green Rover Montego and has the registration M181OTM.

Mr Stapleton reported the incident, which occurred between 10pm and 7am to police, but so far the car has not been recovered and no arrests have been made.

It is believed that the thieves smashed the passenger window before hot wiring the car and making a getaway.
