Detectives in Hounslow are appealing for information following a robbery and stabbing in Chiswick yesterday (Jan 26) afternoon.

A 39-year-old woman was walking along the river bank near Chiswick Boathouse car park when two men approached her from behind and pushed her to the ground.

One of the suspects stabbed her in the leg.

Both then made off with her mobile phone and cash and ran towards Barnes Bridge.

The attack took place on Dan Mason Drive, Dukes Meadows, at about 2.15pm on Monday (Jan 26).

One suspect has been described as a black Somalian man, 5ft 5ins tall, of skinny build and wearing dark clothing.

The second suspect was described as a light skinned man, 5ft 2ins tall, of skinny build and wearing a white windbreaker coat and black trousers.

The victim was taken to a west London hospital where she was treated for a minor stab wound.

She has now been discharged.

Detective constable Emma Powell from Hounslow police said “Fortunately violent attacks like this are very rare on the borough, but nevertheless, we are very keen to speak to anyone who may be able to assist us with this investigation and catch the people responsible.”

No arrests have been made.
