I would like to thank the Chronicle for running two front-page articles on the proposed train depot in Feltham.

I can tell you most people who live next to it do not want the train depot.

Apart from the destruction of the nature reserve, and according to the plans it will be utterly destroyed, local residents will have to put up with a depot for cleaning and maintaining

trains. Presumably most of the trains will be cleaned and maintained at night or weekends, when there are fewer in service, and there will be welding, clanking and banging and all this on top of increased plane noise in the area.

I wonder if these Heathrow Airtrack planners and these people who think the train depot is a good idea would actually like to live next to it. I don't think so.
