The eighth annual South Acton Party For All has been dubbed one of their best yet.

Between 40 and 50 organisations were involved with stalls and activities in and around All Saints Church in Bollo Bridge Road and Oaktree Community Centre in Osborne Road last Saturday (September 6).

The festivities included live music, dancing, face painting, sports, massages, a ceramic workshop, a Watts Bikes Challenge, Gunnersbury Park Museum family workshop, grow your own pot plants and circus skills.

Diverse food was available for family, friends and neighbours such as Caribbean barbeque, Somali cuisine and Asian delicacies.

Rachel Pepper, Project Manager of the Acton Community Forum, said: “There were smiley faces, dancing in the street and a health focus as well.

“About 500 people came throughout the day and there was something for everybody. We got good feedback from local residents.”

The day was organised by people living in the South Acton Estate to celebrate the vibrancy of the area and all the diverse communities, with volunteers setting up the festival site.

Acton Gardens, Heathrow Communities Together and Heritage Lottery provided funding.
