Dancing partners who met more than 60 years ago have celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary friends and family.
Gwen Sansom, 81, and Charles Sansom, 82, (pictured) of Fairfield Road, Uxbridge, have carried on dancing since they tied the knot in July 1948.
They have two children, Pat, 49, and Jacqueline,46, as well as six grandchildren. Together they all celebrated the occasion at The Pheasant pub, in West End Lane, Harlington.
Mrs Sansom said: "I met Charles when I was at a dancing event at the Dominion Centre, he asked me to dance with him and afterwards asked if he could take me home because it wasn't very easy to get a bus home in those days, and we carried on seeing each other.
"I think we've kept together because we give and take, and I guess you stay in a marriage because you love each other."
The couple used to go to a dance club at Brunel University, in Kingston Lane,Uxbridge.
They once travelled to Sweden to do square dancing with a group called the Foot and Fiddle, based in Southall.
