A cyclist was taken to hospital after a crash which is believed to have involved a bus in Hounslow on Saturday.

Police were called to the High Street, at the junction with School Road, just before midday to reports a cyclist had been in collision with a bus.

A police spokesman said a 47-year old man was taken to a central London hospital with head injuries but these were later found to be neither life-threatening nor life-changing.

The road remained closed for just under an hour while police investigated the incident, as these photos kindly contributed by Andy Blackwell show. No one was arrested.

A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said it was called to reports of a collision involving a cyclist and a car. She said the man was treated at the scene for head injuries and taken to West Middlesex Hospital.

The incident came the day after two buses had collided in Isleworth, injuring both drivers and three passengers.
