Cllr Peter Thompson's cheap attempt at scoring points misses the real issue (Letters, October 16)
Our residents are facing a tough winter where rising inflation and the effects of the credit crunch will take their toll.
Surely a prudent administration should now pass some of those savings on to council tax payers.
The economic situation is changing almost daily, and harking back to the past does not help the future.
So come on Cllr Thompson, will you, or won't you reduce the council tax for the next financial year?
