A crystal meth lab has been uncovered by police at a house in Hanwell and a man has been arrested on suspicion of production of the drug.
Equipment believed to be used for producing methylamphetamine hydrochloride was found by officers in a home in Cawdor Crescent on Tuesday (February 18).
Police were called to the four-bedroomed property in the quiet residential road after reports of a dispute between a landlord and tenant at about 4pm.
Neighbours also saw officers wearing masks were examining powder as they moved items into the front garden where a blue tent was erected during the investigation.
They also described smelling something like paint as police removed bags of evidence and jerry cans filled with liquids.
A neighbour told the Gazette that police were around the property for three days this week, from Tuesday until Thursday.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “A cordon has been put around the property and made safe. Officers remain at the address whilst enquiries continue.”
