Crowds turned up in their masses to enjoy the North End Road Summer Market on Saturday (June 27).

The event, which kicked off the 11-day Celebrating Fulham festival, saw an array of stalls selling a variety of goods, and follows the success of a similar Christmas market.

The road was pedestrianised for the market, which saw around 150 stalls line both sides of the street selling gifts, crafts, jewellery and art, clothes, cakes, hot food, drinks and much more.

Music and a small funfair added to the entertainment.

The expanded market is part of a big push by Hammersmith & Fulham Council to revive North End Road, with residents, businesses and stallholders working alongside the authority to make the road more attractive to visitors and shoppers.

Celebrating Fulham runs until July 7 and is showcasing the area’s history, talent and entertainment, allowing residents and visitors the chance to discover hidden treasures.

Further traffic-free markets in North End Road are planned for September and December.
