The Government announced this morning that the Crossrail project linking East and West London would extend to reading.
Phase 1 of Crossrail is due to open in 2019 and construction began in 2009.
The line will eventually link Reading directly with Liverpool Street Station, Stratford, Canary Wharf and Shenfield in Essex.
