A SHOP in Cricklewood could be one of the luckiest stores in the land after a mystery shopper walked out with a jackpot-winning lottery ticket - three months after another customer took home the same prize.

But the multi-million-pound winner, who is believed to be local, has chosen to remain anonymous and will not be named by national lottery operator Camelot.

Pravin Patel, who owns Munro Stores in Temple Road, says winning tickets are often bought in his popular shop, which he believes has been blessed by lady luck.

The married father-of-two, who has another shop in the borough, said: "Camelot called up last week to confirm we had a winning jackpot winner.

"They wouldn't say who it was and how much they had won but just to confirm it was my shop where the ticket had been bought.

"But this is not the first time this has happened. Only three months ago we had another winner.

"We have also had a girl who got five numbers and was one number off winning £12million. This shop truly is blessed."

The 57-year-old says he pays out winnings of between £10 and £200 every week and has proudly put up an official poster issued by Camelot notifying customers that a winning ticket was bought in his store.

He said: "We sell hundreds of tickets every week and the shop is doing really well. I think trade got better ever since our nearest post office closed and more customers decided to come to my store.

"Every week people come in with three or four numbers and I'm always paying out winnings.

"I think it is down to more customers using the store but I also think we have been blessed.

"I'm delighted to think it is a lucky shop and I hope the luck doesn't run out for my customers."
