CELEBRATING cricket fans took to the streets of Queensbury after India beat England to lift the ICC Champions Trophy.

Throngs of supporters held the impromptu sunset party on Sunday following the entertaining final of the tournament whose result rested on the final ball.

Pedestrians and drivers in their cars took over Queensbury circle with fans dancing, waving flags and playing dhol drums.

They brought traffic to a halt and buses had to crawl through as the good-natured crowd parted.

He said: "India wins the cup and Queensbury came alive. Over 300 people filled the streets and celebrated this victory."
