Trading Standards officers continued a crackdown on rogue traders this week.

H&F Council teamed up with Fulham Broadway and Hammersmith Broadway Safer Neighbourhood Teams to visit 43 builders on June 30.

It is part of a major initiative to stamp down on cold-calling across the borough with the council saying the majority of those visited were trading honestly but that some questioned will need 'further enquiries'.

Councillor Nick Bottrell, H&F deputy leader and cabinet member for environment, said: "Home-owners should beware builders knocking on their door and saying work needs doing. We are determined to catch rogue traders and will work closely with the police in order to apprehend them and bring them to justice."

Anyone who believes they may have been targeted by a rogue traders should call Consumer Direct on 08454 04 05 06.
