A man and a woman were rescued from a flat fire in Fulham early this morning (January 20).

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued the pair from the blaze at a block of flats in Park Street in Imperial Wharf just before 7am.

Three fire crews rescued them from the second floor flat and both were treated for smoke inhalation by the London Ambulance Service.

A spokeswoman from London Fire Brigade, said: “A small area of one bedroom in a second floor flat was damaged by fire.

“Fire engines from Fulham, Wandsworth and Chelsea fire stations attended the incident.

“The Brigade was called at 6.44am and the fire was under control at 7.17am. The cause of the fire is under investigation.”

Yesterday, a woman and baby and a cleaner escaped another flat fire in nearby West Kensington.
