A FORMER Hillingdon councillor - and groom-to-be - has admitted to receiving oral sex from an older man in a public toilet two months ago.

Robert Benson, 41, of Stanmore, pleaded guilty yesterday (Wednesday) at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court to engaging in sexual activity in a Rayners Lane public toilets in South Harrow with a 56-year-old from South Woodford, Essex.

The 41-year-old divorcee, who represented Northwood ward from 1998 to 2002 before moving to Harrow Council in 2006, was fined £205 and ordered to pay court costs by the magistrates.

He is due to marry Lisa Miller, a 36-year-old administrator from Borehamwood, Herts, at a synagogue in Stanmore, after submitting his wedding bands to Harrow Register Office on February 6, on which his occupation was listed as company director.

The 41-year-old was arrested by Rayners Lane Safer Neighbourhood Team on suspicion of gross indecency at 3.45pm on Wednesday June 25 in Rayners Lane public toilets, along with the 56-year-old.

Both men were given police bail to return to a north London police station on July 8. When they did, the Essex man was cautioned and Mr Benson was charged - leading to yesterday's court case.
