It is so easy to grumble, but an article in the national press reported that "Harrow Council in London said that it had to order another 500 tonnes from a salt mine in Cleveland after using 250 tonnes by Monday morning in uninterrupted gritting by eight lorries for 14 hours".
Obviously some side roads remained ungritted but, for the most part, all the roads were clear for traffic; thank you for a good job done.
