RESIDENTS are being asked at a series of open days their views on what they would like Harrow to look like in the future.

Harrow Council is looking for feedback on a document that sets out the long-term vision for the development of the borough.

The open days will take place at:

* The Flash Musicals Youth Theatre, in Methuen Road, Edgware, between 3-7pm today (June 19)

* Healthy Living Centre at the Wealdstone Centre, High Street, Harrow, from 12-3pm tomorrow (June 20)

* Zoroastrian Centre, in Alexandra Avenue, Harrow, from 3-6pm on Thursday next week (June 26).

Harrow Council's Core Strategy document opened for public consultation from June 6 until July 18.

Local residents will have two options to choose from.

The first promotes development in the centre of town and the second will aim to reduce the spread and impact of growth around the borough by concentrating development near transport facilities across Harrow.

The Core Strategy document will be one of the first to make up the Local Development Framework - which will set out guidance for people wanting to develop in the borough - which is currently being prepared and should be adopted in 2010.
