Last week you published an article about the council's plans for Pineapple Park.

The council spokesman referred to consultation with residents - that consultation has been meaningless.

This week you publish proposals for changed parking proposals subject to a consultation period ending on November 1.

To date neither I nor neighbours have seen any sign of this 'consultation'.

That leaves five days to respond without any knowledge of the details involved.

Last year we lost the local launderette, the nursing Home and Peterborough School - again with minimal, if any, consultation.

And now your lead article suggests that Sands End Library is earmarked for closure.

What, if any, consultation will there be about this? It is time the council realised that there is life south of New Kings Road and acted appropriately.
