Congratulations poured in today after it emerged Chiswick's Declan Donnelly was engaged to be married.
News the I'm a Celebrity host was getting hitched to his manager Ali Astall prompted well-wishers including ITV and MTV to offer their compliments via Twitter.
But the engagement didn't meet with universal approval, as several fans expressed their regret Mr Donnelly - who is one half of TV double act Ant and Dec - was no longer on the market.
One admirer of the former pop star and Byker Grove actor tweeted 'just when I think my life can't get any worse I find out my Dec's engaged' while another wrote 'Why is Dec engaged this is not ok #Heartbroken'.
Others were already looking ahead to the big day, with Zac Johnson tweeting 'I would pay money (not a lot) if his future wife came down d aisle 2 let's get ready to rumble or Byker Grove'.
The Mirror today reported how the 39-year-old Geordie had popped the question in Australia to Ms Astall. It said she had joined him for his spell in the jungle filming ITV's I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here with co-host and best friend Ant McPartlin.
