Hundreds of revellers flocked to the sun-soaked Roxeth Show at the weekend with fun for all the family.

The annual two-day event, taking place at the Roxeth Recreation Ground, Kingsley Road, South Harrow, had all sorts of games, activities and stalls on offer over Saturday and Sunday, organised once more by the Harrow and Pinner Lions group.

Organiser Tony Hurley said: "It was lovely on the Saturday, really busy and everyone was having a really good time.

"It had a great community atmosphere and it is events like these that reaffirm what a tremendous community spirit we have in such a diverse borough."

Parliamentary candidate for Harrow West Hannah David (Conservative) said on social media website Twitter: "At Roxeth Show with organiser Tony Hurley...long may community events like this continue...so important."

Local Roxeth councillor Primesh Patel (Labour) also tweeted: "Amazing weather and lots of activities here at the #RoxethShow."

The Roxeth Show has, since the cancellation of the Harrow Show in 2004, become the biggest annual community event in the borough with free entry while being independent from Harrow Council funding.
