A community action group has launched a survey to find out what people think about the proposals of the Chiswick tower block.

Members of the Chiswick High Road Action Group (CHRAG) believe the 13-storey mixed-use development overlooking Turnham Green is overcrowded and lacking in adequate facilities.

They are urging people to take the survey to learn more and express their views as well as remind everyone the deadline for objections to Hounslow council is October 25.

Developers Lend Lease have submitted plans to convert an existing office block into 137 new homes, made up of 133 apartments and four townhouses, and held a number of consultations in the summer which more than 600 residents attended.

To make space for the new homes, an additional two-storey penthouse apartments with balconies will take the tower to 13 floors, as well s building two new high-rise blocks in Essex Place.

The housing development will consist of 66 new apartments in the tower block, 46 new apartments in Essex Place behind Chiswick High Road, 21 new apartments in a new block on the corner leading up to Chiswick Park tube and four new townhouses behind Chiswick High Road with no private gardens.

Lend Lease have previously stated their plans have had positive comments from the local community.
