Scouts beat strong competition from all over the UK to win a national recycling competition.

The Ruislip, Easctote and Northwood Explorers bagged the Wrappers to Riches Collection Contest by gathering 12,454 used biscuit wrappers, to save them from landfill and use them for something else.

The competition is run by biscuit manufacturer McVitie’s and recycling experts Terracycle.
