Hammersmith's resident comedian Bill Bailey has thrown his weight behind plans for a flyunder to replace the flyover.

The popular TV personality joined a host of other neighbours at a meeting of Hammersmith and Fulham’s transport select committee last week.

After hearing how the Hammersmith Flyover could be replaced with a tunnel in just three years time, he said: “I’ve lived in Hammersmith for 30 years and the traffic needs to be addressed. A flyunder would have enormous benefits for not just traffic but also for a much improved town centre environment.”

The comedian, known for his stand-up and role as Manny in Channel 4’s Black Books, illustrated the flyunder by posing for the camera in only a way Bill Bailey can.
