Parishioners took a trip down memory lane of Feltham and St Dunstan's Church and helped raise hundreds of pounds,  at a community event last week.

More than 100 people turned up to look through displays, listen to talks, and take a tour of the church and graves.

Organised by the Feltham History Group and St Dunstan's Church, and supported by funeral directors Lodge Brothers, families were also privy to a special organ recital and church bell ringing.

An afternoon cream tea was held in the vicarage garden and a raffle raised £410 which will go towards the church funds.

The event was held last Saturday (19).

Feltham History Group chairman Eddie Menday, said: "The Feltham History Group were on hand with a large selections of pictures and maps of bygone Feltham on show and took visitors on a short tour of the church."

Feltham History Group held a commemorative World War One event with schoolchildren, sea cadets and the Mayor of Hounslow, earlier this month.

National photography competition to commemorate the centenary year of the First World War closes on July 31.
