CHRONICLE journalists joined thousands of others by taking part in the Sport Relief Mile in central London on Sunday.

Adam Courtney, Greg Burns and Rupert Basham were joined by Hounslow Chronicle pair Lima Curtis and Robert Cumber, Ealing Gazette reporter Poppy Bradbury and Harrow Observer's Hannah Bewley for the flagship charity event.

They took on the three mile course up and down The Mall on a glorious day in the capital with pop stars JLS and Kimberley Walsh joining other runners in fancy dress during the race.

The team has raised £202 so far and, while nursing some sore muscles in the office on Monday, were glad they took part.

"The sun was shining and it was a great feeling to be taking part in such a worthwhile event," said Greg. "We have managed to raise a decent amount but people can still give generously so any contributions will be gratefully received."

Adam said: "My legs are like jelly but it was a fantastic event and well worth the pain."
