Organisers of the annual Chiswick Summer Fair are calling for residents and businesses to get involved to help raise more than ever before for charities.

The fair includes a children’s corner, an international food tent, raffles, actions and a variety of independent stalls and entertainment.

Last year 4,000 visitors helped raise £30,000 for local charities - Acton Homeless Concern, Cedars Youth Centre, Food Bank, Hounslow Night Shelter, Hounslow Siblings Group and Mind Ealing.

To ensure the fair is bigger and better than ever, organisers are calling on all residents and businesses to get involved in any way they can, from donations to help.

Clare Muldoon, committee chair, said: “The Chiswick Fair is a wonderful opportunity to show what is best about our local community. A team of dedicated volunteers work tirelessly to make sure that the fair is a success and we rely on local businesses to give generously. And there is still time to get involved! We’d be delighted to have more volunteers and more donations,”

The fair on Turnham Green on July 5 is organised by parishioners of Our Lady of Grace and St Edward and the event is aimed at representing a coming together of the local community with volunteers and local businesses working together to ensure all proceeds go to the chosen charities.
