A 31-year-old man has been arrested today after a police raid on a Chiswick home revealed evidence of a major drug dealing ring .

Police stormed the W4 property at 2pm, on Tuesday as part of an operation tackling drug supply across London, code named, "Operation Alfray".

The man was arrested for possession of drugs and money laundering after the search revealed electronic scales, quantities of self-seal bags, white powder believed to be cocaine and brown powder believed to be heroin.

A search was then carried out at the man's home where various drug equipment and cash was found, including £300,000 hidden beneath floorboards under a wardrobe.

Detective Chief Inspector Peter Bayer from the Met Police's Central Task force said: "This arrest today is significant in the continued fight against serious and organised crime. The Met's serious and organised crime command continue to tackle criminals who seek to profit from the illegal trade of drugs in London and will use any means available to ensure that those criminals are put out of business and their illegal profits are seized."

The operation was a led by secret tip offs from inside sources in a move to stop one of London's biggest distributor of ecstasy pills on the London club scene.

The man was taken to a central London police station and the case is still being investigated.
