A FAMILY is bringing smiles to faces with an eye-catching display of Christmas lights outside their home in South Harrow.

Geoff Havard, 64, his wife Julie, 66, and children Karen, 30, and Paul, 28, have built up a collection of decorations, including Santa Clauses, reindeer and sleighs, over 15 years at their house in Northolt Road.

Mr Havard, who runs the Tanglewood Club that provides leisure activities for adults with learning disabilities at Harrow Borough FC’s Earlsmead Stadium, said: “I’m very pleased with it this year in particular. People say I make everyone feel happy and it brightens up the street. As our house is on a main road, thousands and thousands of people pass by every weekday.

“They cost a lot of money to run, mind you, about £250 for the month. But the kids love it as I notice them stopping to admire it, and that makes it all worthwhile.”
