Standards of cleanliness at Chelsea and Westminster Hopsital have been rated excellent in the Patient Environment Action Team figures.
Every hospital in England was inspected by a team of NHS staff and patient representatives who monitored cleaning, infection control and the general patient environment.
Only 19 per cent of NHS hospitals achieved the maximum rating. That means that Chelsea and Westminster, in Fulham Road, Chelsea, together with the Royal Marsden in Chelsea, is one of the cleanest hospitals in the country.
Charing Cross Hospital in Fulham Palace Road, Hammersmith, St Marys in Praed Street, Paddington, and the Royal Brompton in Fulham Road, Chelsea, were rated Good.
