CELEBRITY chef Richard Fox is visiting Hounslow next week to show residents how to transform leftovers into tasty treats.

He will host a gastronomic masterclass in Hounslow High Street, outside Holy Trinity Church, next Thursday (November 24), from 11am to 4pm.

The free event is part of Hounslow Council's drive to reduce the amount of food binned by residents. It spent more than £1.4 million last year disposing of food dumped in rubbish bins.

The event, which is part of the European Week for Waste Reduction, will include live cookery, a Q&A session and even a competition.

A Love Food, Hate Waste stall will offer personalised advice on reducing food waste and saving money, including recipe ideas.

Anyone who wants to enter the cooking competition should email info@westlondonwaste.gov.uk, saying why they deserve to take part and including their contact details.
