A WOMAN and teenage girl were trapped in their home after the ceiling collapsed on top of them.
The pair were rescued by London Fire Brigade at 9.30am today (Thursday).
Three fire engines and two ambulances attended the accident on the second floor of a three-storey block of flats in Sandown Close in Cranford.
A brigade spokesperson said: “The crew managed to rescue the pair and had everything under control by 9.46am. At the moment we do not know what caused the roof to collapse. But there was not a fire.”
