HARLINGTON Hospice is to receive a £2,500 boost to help improve its annual summer fair thanks to the Heathrow Communities Together fund.

The hospice, in Lansdowne House, St Peter’s Way, Harlington, hosts the annual event in its grounds with the dual objective of raising awareness of its services and raising money to help fund its activities.

Hospice manager Val Stangoe said: “This is wonderful news. It’s always fantastic when organisations like the Heathrow fund support our events because it means that all the money we make on the day can go straight into providing better services for our patients and their carers.”

As yet, no date has been fixed for the hospice’s summer fair in 2013, but Ms Stangoe expects that it will take place in July or August.

The Heathrow Communities Together fund provides grants of up to £2,500 for community, charitable and environmental groups in the boroughs that surround the airport.
