STAFF at a car dealership organised a celebration of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice.
Visitors to Dagenham Motors in Edgware Road enjoyed fun games such as pin the tail on the corgi and hopscotch as well as face painting and a lucky dip, while a raffle boosted funds for the Kenton based charity.
The event, on the afternoon of Friday, June 8, raised £250 in donations.
Kevin Marsh, general manager at Dagenham Motors in Colindale, said: “A great day was had by all and the effort every member of staff put in to the day was a credit to the dealership’s hard working ethic.
“I would like to thank our customers and the public for coming along and celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with us all in aid of a very good cause.
“We are delighted to have been able to raise money for St Luke’s.”
Dagenham Motors has selected St Luke’s Hospice in Kenton Grange as its nominated charity for the seventh year running.
St Luke’s, which supports the terminally ill in Harrow, Brent and the surrounding area, is close to reaching its target of an extra £250,000 in fundraising to mark it 25th anniversary this year.
The Observer is supporting the hospice through our Showing We Care readers’ campaign and you can make a donation using the coupon on this page.
