Cadets led a Remembrance Sunday parade through Heston honouring the brave men and women killed in battle over the years.

Air and Army cadets were joined by veterans, councillors and members of the public as they marched from their base in Vicarage Farm Road to St Leonard's Church, in Heston Road, yesterday morning.

A service of remembrance was held at the church, after which poppies were laid at the foot of the war memorial outside. The procession then returned along New Heston Road to the Royal British Legion base.

Khaki, who captured these photos of the parade, marking the 100th anniversary of the First World War, said it had been a very moving day.

People also paused to reflect during emotional services across the borough yesterday, including Feltham and Isleworth.
