AN OPEN day at Perivale Wood garnered support for Friends of the Earth from visitors including Ealing North MP Steve Pound.
The politician added his support to the Bee Action Plan, which protects all 267 British species of bees, and tries to ensure the way we farm our food and plan towns and cities is appropriate for them.
Mr Pound, who went along to the wood on Sunday said he has been going every spring for the last 30 years.
He described it as a gorgeous carpet of bluebells, like a magic kingdom.
He said: “I recharged my batteries in the way more people should and saw nature in all its power.”
Mr Pound said the Bee Action Plan, that was signed off on Sunday, is another triumph for Perivale.
