Two cute rabbits have been rescued over the Bank Holiday weekend after they were thrown over a fence and abandoned.

The bunnies were seen being thrown over a fence in King Edward VII Memorial Park in Park Lane, Wembley, next to Willesden Sports Centre, on Sunday.

This rabbit was rescued and named Notting Hill.

Both animals are one year old and are female.

Staff from the Mayhew Animal Home in Trenmar Gardens, Kensal Green, warmed up the pair with rugs and named them Notting Hill and Carnival as the annual street carnival was going on that day.
