BUILDING work is under way for a new £3.6million vocational centre at Southall and West London College.

The centre, located on Beaconsfield Road, will offer a variety of practical courses to the local community.

Construction, motor vehicle and engineering workshops and industry-standard kitchens are currently being built to give students in the area the full range of practical learning experiences. Courses starting in September 2009 include construction, electrical installation, hospitality and catering and engineering.

Beatrice Movaghar, director at the site, which is part of Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College said: "We are very proud to be building such a fantastic facility for everyone in our local community.

"We have invested over £3.6m in the new centre which will offer an even larger range of qualifications.

"We want our facilities to reflect the importance we place in learning. The courses we offer will deliver choice, excellence in teaching and most importantly, help our students to succeed in their chosen careers." [25a0] If you would like more information or want to enrol, call 0800 980 2175.
