A man is due to stand trial in February for the attempted murder of a woman in Brentford.

Amish Kansagra, of Brentford, has denied attempted murder and ABH (actual bodily harm), and his trial had been due to begin today at Kingston Crown Court.

But the court today said the trial date for the 28-year-old who has admitted one count of destroying and damaging property, has now been postponed until February 24.

Mr Kansagra was charged following an attack on a 35-year-old woman in Clitherow Road, near Boston Manor Park, in June.

The woman was treated in hospital after sustaining what police described as serious injuries.

Mr Kansagra voluntarily attended a police station on June 25 following a public appeal in the wake of the assault.
