Over 17,000 people flocked to a popular park to watch a spectacular firework display put on by Brent Council.

The free fireworks display on Wednesday night (November 5) too place at Roundwood Park in Willesden.

There was an earlier children's display at at 8pm a successful adult firework display, also there was a funfair and food stalls.

It is estimated that around 17,000 people attended the main display. 

The winner of the Brent Celebrates Fireworks 2014 photography competition was announced as Suzanne Plunkett.

Spectators were asked to tweet their best pictures to #brentfireworks14 to win four wristbands entitling them to free rides at an Irvin Leisure funfair.
