Hounslow West tube station is closed due to a localised power failure, Transport for London has announced.

TfL tweeted at 4.30pm that the tube station in Bath Road was closed. It said Piccadilly line trains are not stopping at the station, and tube tickets were being accepted on local buses.

It is not known at this stage whether other businesses or homes in the area have been affected by the power outage.

TfL tweeted: "Hounslow West station is currently closed due to a local power failure. London Underground tickets being accepted on local buses."
