London Mayor and Uxbridge & South Ruislip MP Boris Johnson hit Twitter on Tuesday (May 19) for his regular #askboris Q&A.

The politician fielded dozens of varied questions from Twitter users during the Q&A on Tuesday afternoon - including some of the less serious variety - which saw #askboris trending across the UK.

Some used the opportunity to get the Tory's opinion on important - and controversial - west London issues such as expansion at Heathrow Airport.

On the topic of the proposed third runway at Heathrow, Mr Johnson said he was opposed to the plans due to the "massive increase in noise and exhaust pollution" it would lead to.

Others took to the social networking site to poke fun at the politician, as well as to find out his favourite tipple, the weather, where he gets his hair cut, and why he is "such a weirdo".
