Police have launched an appeal for witnesses to a burgarly last night.
The incident took place in Paulhan Road, Harrow, when the victim was woken up by a man in her bedroom.
She couldn't see him as it was dark but he spoke with an English accent and said her house had been broken into.
The man left and the woman went downstairs where she discovered the kitchen window smashed and the kitchen door wide open.
Nothing had been taken from the property.
