You can help clean up Cranford Park this weekend or learn about life as a Victorian brickie during a Halloween craft session there later this month.

Real life Wombles are wanted to help clean Cranford Park for this Saturday's Big Tidy Up.

Volunteers are needed between 10am and midday to collect litter at the park, which is off The Parkway A312.

Anyone interested can turn up on the day and meet in the car park. Tabards, bags and even Wombles stickers will be provided.

Children can journey back in time to learn the skills of a Victorian brickie - and even make their own Halloween decorations - in the park later this month.

Youngsters aged five and over will be shown how to hand craft a brick using traditional methods.

They will also get the opportunity to make clay Halloween decorations and a Victorian toy on the day.

The free session will take place on Wednesday, October 29, from 10am to midday in the park's stable courtyard. Places must be booked by calling Dhush Selvarajah on 0771 8043 105 or emailing dhush.selvarajah@groundwork.org.uk
