Historical fiction author Conn Iggulden is bringing his knowledge and passion for poetry and history together to give a talk commemorating the WW1 Centenary.

He has written the best-selling Emperor and Conqueror historical fiction series and his 2006 book The Dangerous Book for Boys is rumoured to have been picked up by Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston's production company.

Now Conn Iggulden, a former English teacher at Haydon School in Wiltshire Lane, Eastcote, is returning to the borough to give a talk on World War 1 poets.

He will be joining local historian Clive Room at Eastcote Library in Field End Road on Wednesday, August 27 from 2pm to 3.15pm.
